KJ joined MFBRP in October 2016 as a seasonal tech and became the organization’s Field Ops & Restoration Assistant in February 2017.
He comes to Maui from the upper Midwest where he worked as a Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. He has worked on the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife Refuge and for the Rock Island Field Office in the Quad Cities, IL. KJ is an experienced maintenance & operations professional. He has a B.A. in Geoscience from Cornell College, Iowa.
KJ is stoked to contribute to the protection of Hawai’i’s native forest birds.
